Green Vale has long believed in teaching “executive functioning” – the skills that enable kids to organize, focus attention, remember instructions, and manage time successfully. Within predictable routines that nurture self-discipline, resilience, study skills, and confidence. Executive functioning proficiency also enables positive behavior and healthy choices.

Our teachers are formally trained in Responsive Classroom – a technique that uses evidence-based practices to make each classroom a safe, joyful, and predictable learning community. The CASEL-sponsored program systematically promotes students’ social and emotional competence, provides opportunities for practice, and offers multi-year programming.
